We’re Looking For A Few Good Facilitators!

Do you feel you have what it takes to be a support group facilitator?

Facilitators:

--Are persons whose task is to guide peers in a caring, healthy, confidential, and purposeful discussion that strives to improve the lives of people living with mood disorders.

--To be effective, persons do not need an advanced degree, in-depth study or an extensive internship.  What is needed is relatively simple: to simply be helpful to peers, that is, persons with mood disorders and family members or friends of persons with mood disorders.

--Take DBSA Tucson facilitator training, are interviewed, and serve a probationary period.

Persons interested in facilitating should contact Ron, our chapter president, at ron@dbsatucson.com and share the following:

--Their name, telephone number and preferred e-mail address.

--How long they have been attending a DBSA support group.

--Which DBSA Tucson facilitator would know them best.

--A paragraph or more about why they desire to become a facilitator and what they believe they can bring to the position that would be helpful.

Ron will be in touch with you as soon as is reasonably possible.  Thanks for thinking about becoming a facilitator.
